Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Heather received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her clinical training is broad, involving work with children and adolescents with a range of developmental and behavioral concerns including ASD, ADHD, anxiety, feeding difficulties, and cognitive and learning disorders. However, Heather became particularly interested in and focused on working with individuals with ASD and their families. She completed her clinical internship at the Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where she trained on the Autism Spectrum Disorders track. She then stayed on at CHOP where she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at their Center for Autism Research. Heather's doctoral research focused on identifying the neural basis of imitation and social communication skills in high-functioning children and adolescents with ASD. Her clinical interests are in the area of differential diagnosis, early identification and intervention, social skill training, and parent training and support. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her kids.
